How to plug in barcode reader
If you’ve applied barcodes to products and discount cards, plug in reader to tablet to detect products, add them to order and make your guests discount faster.
☝️ We can ensure compatibility of Bluetooth readers Mindeo MS3390 and Motorola CS3070 which can be connected to iOS and Android devices. If you have another reader, message us and our support team will check it characteristics.
To plug in Bluetooth reader to iOS devices:
Hold power button on the reader and turn on Bluetooth in settings.
Go to Settings → Bluetooth on your tablet and turn on Bluetooth switcher.
In list of devices choose reader and it will appear in My devices list with Connected status.
To plug in Bluetooth reader to Android devices:
Hold power button on the reader and turn on Bluetooth in settings.
Go to Settings → Connections and turn on Bluetooth switcher.
Go to Bluetooth section and choose your reader so it’s appeared in Connected devices.
💡 You can connect USB reader to Android tablet via OTG cable. To do this plug reader in adapter from USB 2.0 socket side and Mini-USB connector side to tablet. Beep means that reader is ready to work.
💡 If you’re working with Poster on Windows and choose USB barcode reader plug it in the computer or monoblock via USB.
💡 To test reader connection run Notes or Notepad or go to any other text file and read barcode in EAN-13 format.
Now you can read barcodes on your tablet with barcode reader instead of tablet camera. Product or discount will appear in order right after reading the barcode.
