How to view sales reports by categories

View sales reports by categories to control gross revenue, profit, and food cost of sold dishes.  

To view sales reports by categories:

1. Go to Reports → Categories in the management console.

2. Click on the calendar in the upper right corner and set the reporting period.

3. Select product and dishes category from the drop-down list.

4. Select location if there are several in your account.

5. Check the quantity of sold dishes in pieces and weight, cost, revenue, profit and food cost.

6. Click ⿲ Columns in the upper right corner to display gross revenue column. 

7. Click on the column title you want to sort the data analytics. 

💡 Click Export to download Excel sheet with sales report by products and dishes categories or click Print to print it out.

💡 If you click on the category’s name, Poster will create a sales chart where you can find out what dishes in the category are in demand. Also have a look at a sales report chart by order types: Dine-in, Takeout, Deliveries.
