Popular promotions examples

Create popular promotions to increase the number of customers and profit of your location during the decline in sales. For example, Happy hours, 2+1 and Get the 6th cup of coffee for free

“Happy hours” promotion

Create a “Happy hours” promotion to set up a time period during which your customers can get bonuses or product discounts. 

To add a “Happy hours” promotion:

  1. Go to Marketing → Promotions in the management console.

  2. Click Add

  3. Write a name and set promotion start and end dates.

  4. Choose locations where the promotion will be applied: at restaurant chain or at only selected locations.

  5. Enable Apply special offer automatically to add a discount or a gift to order automatically. 

  6. In the Promotion conditions field select categories and products the promotion is valid for, and order conditions: 

    — exactly is a condition for ordering the exact amount of goods. For example, if a customer orders 2 hot dogs from 4 pm till 7 pm, he gets juice for free; — in case of at least the price or number of goods should exceed the specified minimum. For example, If the customer orders pizzas for more then $100 from 9 am till 11 am, he gets a 15% discount. 
  7. Set the number or amount of goods that need to be ordered to get a discount or a gift.

  8. Select promotion days and specify promotion hours

  9. Select promotion participants.

  10. Select bonus products or fixed discount for each promotional product that customer gets as a promotion result. In our case, all customers will get a 30% discount, if they buy pastries worth at least $10 on weekdays from 12 pm till 3 pm. 

  11. Click Add



    💡 Select Apply special offer automatically and select exactly in promotion conditions so that promotion discounts worked automatically.


    “2+1” promotion

    Create a “2+1” promotion to give your customer one goods for free if buying two. 

    To add “2+1” promotion:

    1. Go to Marketing → Promotions in the management console. 

    2. Click Add.

    3. Write a name and set a promotion start and end dates.

    4. Choose locations where the promotion will be applied: at restaurant chain or at only selected locations.

    5. In the Promotion conditions field select products, the promotion is valid for.

    6. Select exactly in order conditions and write “2” in the field for the number of goods, required to get a bonus.

    7. Select which bonus product a customer will get as a Promotion result. In our case, he gets third pizza for $0.01. A customer receives his bonus product immediately after fulfilling promotion conditions — buying two pizzas. 

    8. Click Add.



    “Get the 6th cup of coffee for free” promotion

    Create a “Get the sixth cup of coffee for free” promotion to accumulate bonus products in different receipts. 

    To add a “Get the 6th cup of coffee for free” promotion:

    1. Go to Marketing → Promotions in the management console. 

    2. Click Add

    3. Write a name and set a promotion start and end dates.

    4. Choose locations where the promotion will be applied: at restaurant chain or at only selected locations.

    5. In the Promotion conditions field select categories and products the promotion is valid for.

    6. Select exactly in order conditions and write “5” in the field for the number of goods, required to get a bonus.

    7. In the Conditions of accumulation field select with the accumulation of the amount or sum in several orders

    8. Select promotion participants.

    9. Select which bonus product a customer will get as a Promotion result. In our case, only registered customers will get coffee for $0.01 immediately after fulfilling promotion conditions — buying five cups of coffee. 

    10. Click Add.


    💡 To avoid creating several dishes, use dish modifiers in promotions. To do that, choose the modifiers that take part in the promotion: only a small coffee, or allow choice between usual and lactose-free milk, but not the vegetable one.


    Apply a discount on the register to add a discount for the whole receipt.
