How to track the stock of drinks properly

If you sell cocktails or drinks with different volume, add them in the tab Products → Dishes to track its stock properly.


To add a cocktail:

  1. Go to Products → Dishes and click Add.

  2. Enter the name of the cocktail, choose its category and station where it will be cooked.

  3. Upload photo or choose the color for the icon which will display on POS.

  4. In Recipe block choose drinks and ingredients which the cocktail consist of. Enter gross and net weight.

  5. Enter the total price of the cocktail. Cost and Markup fields will be filled automatically after first ingredients supply.

  6. Click Save.  

To add wine that is sold by bottle and by glass:

  1. Go to Products → Ingredients and click Add.

  2. Enter the name of wine and choose liters as the unit of measurement.

  3. Click Save.

  4. Go to Products → Dishes and click Add.

  5. Enter the name of the wine, choose its category and station.

  6. Upload photo or choose the color for the icon which will display on POS.

  7. In Modifiers block click Add modifiers set. 

  8. Enter “Bottle or Glass” in Set name and select Only one to choose 1 option of the drink volume from several.

  9. In Modifier field choose the wine that you previously added in the tab Products → Ingredients.

  10. Enter the volume of a bottle in ml and price per bottle.

  11. Choose the same wine as the second modifier in this set.

  12. Enter the volume of glass in ml and price per glass.
    ☝️ Enter the price for each volume and leave the Total field empty.

  13. Click Save.

💡 When you'll sell wine on POS, the system will ask you what option you would like to sell: bottle or glass. The proper amount of wine will be written-off from the stock after a sale is made.

 

💡 If you have any alcohol included in the dish recipe, you should also add it as an ingredient to Poster to track its stock counts properly.
