Hotel «Mandala Eco Villas»
Arnie Villafuerte — General manager
I ran into a couple of platforms while trying to find a right POS system. Poster helps us keep track of inventory, sales, dealing with billings, etc. It’s a great alternative to having to buy or develop software for a small business and allows us to use any device to track our business.
What is the name of your location? What is the story behind it?
We are a small ecological hotel resort Mandala Eco Villas in El Salvador. We focus on the regenerative land use and are finding ways of how to manage tourism with the principles of sustainability, regenerative land stewardship, natural building, and permaculture. Mandala Eco Villas promotes adventure tourism based on surfing and ocean lifestyle and offer tours and a world fusion cuisine restaurant on site.
How did you come up with the idea to create the hotel?
Hotel located on a world class surfing destination known as a right-hand point break, so we decided to create this concept to enjoy the benefits of recreation and leisure while tackling social and environmental issues to promote a happier and healthier way of living.
What is the main concept of your location?
Tourism, recreation, and leisure. Great food, good company, and excellent surfing. The fishing is not bad either.
Is it your first project in the HoReCa business?
Yes, Mandala Eco Villas is our first project.
Did you use any other POS systems for restaurants and hotels before?
Yes, I’ve used some of them before but currently I’m using Poster.
Describe with one phrase your feelings from working with Poster — a cloud Point of Sale? What optimization results did you achieve and how Poster helped your business?
I ran into a couple of platforms while trying to find a right POS system. Poster helps us keep track of inventory, sales, dealing with billings, etc. It’s a great alternative to having to buy or develop software for a small business and allows us to use any device to track our business.
Which Poster POS features you found the most useful for your hotel business?
Usually, I use Sales, Inventory, Pricing categories.
If you were offered to change the software, what decision would you make?
If they offered the same services at a more competitive price, I would consider it.
What plans do you have for 2018-2019? Are you planning to open more locations?
Nope, but may expand our operation on site.
Will you recommend Poster POS to your friends in the hotel and restaurant business?
Already have! I think Poster is one of the most reliable POS system.
